1. Who operates this website
DARK DEAD™ is presented by MarionetasInc™. For questions, requests or complaints relating to personal information, contact the Privacy Officer — MarionetasInc™, at support@darkdeaduniverse.com. This policy covers this website and its first-party media player. Independent websites have their own policies.
2. Information involved in a visit
When your browser requests a page, image or audio file, the servers delivering it receive technical information such as an IP address, request time, requested address, browser information and, depending on your settings, a referring page. This information may be recorded in hosting and security logs to deliver the site, diagnose faults and protect it against abuse. The site does not request precise location, camera or microphone access.
3. Contact and correspondence
Contact links open your chosen email application. When you send a message, the information you choose to include, your email address and normal email metadata are processed to respond, administer permissions or address a reported issue. Provide only what is relevant. This website has no visitor account, payment form or newsletter registration, and does not itself collect payment-card details.
4. Cookies, media and local storage
The site code does not install advertising cookies, analytics tools, behavioural profiles or third-party advertising pixels. Internal search uses a first-party page index; its search text is not sent to a search provider. Audio is requested through the player controls and served from the same domain. The demo uses local storage to keep its language, music preference, Story progress and policy acceptance. Clear this site’s data in your browser to remove those records; saved progress will be lost. Your browser may cache resources. Necessary hosting processing is distinct from advertising tracking. Spotify and Kawaii Cola links open external services only when clicked; those services have their own policies.
5. Purposes and access
Information is used to provide requested pages or media, answer correspondence, handle rights requests, maintain security, resolve disputes and satisfy applicable legal obligations. Access is limited to persons and service providers who require it for those purposes. Hosting and email providers may process information on our behalf. We do not sell personal information or use it to create advertising audiences. A disclosure may also occur where required or permitted by law, including to address a legal claim.
6. Processing outside Québec and retention
Hosting or email processing may occur outside Québec, depending on the service provider and routing. Information about relevant processing arrangements may be requested from the Privacy Officer. Where applicable, cross-border handling is subject to the assessment, contractual and protection requirements of Québec law. Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purpose and applicable legal obligations, then deleted or handled in a legally permitted manner. A relevant retention period can be requested; correspondence and server logs need not have the same retention period.
7. Your choices, rights and complaints
You may request access to, or correction of, personal information about you, withdraw consent to a use based on consent, and request other rights available under applicable law, including portability where applicable. Some records must be retained for legal reasons. Contact the Privacy Officer with sufficient information to identify the request, without sending unnecessary identity documents. A proportionate identity check may be needed. Requests are handled within the applicable statutory period. You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec or another competent privacy authority.
8. Security and minors
Reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information are used; no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Incidents are assessed and handled in accordance with applicable notification and record-keeping duties. The website does not ask children to create accounts or submit profiles. A child under 14 should not send personal information without authorization from a parent or tutor, except where the law permits otherwise. A parent or tutor may contact the Privacy Officer about information submitted by a child.
9. Changes to this policy
The date shown on this page identifies this version. Material changes will be communicated on the site and, where required, by other appropriate means. A new purpose that requires consent will not be treated as accepted merely because this policy was updated.
